Honeywood Farm has been in the Moodie family since 1817 and borders the wild and wonderful Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve up against the Langeberg Mountains. It is a nature lover's paradise and offers hiking, mountain biking, birding, horse riding, and swimming in rivers and pools all in a peaceful and secure environment.

At Honeywood Farm, you are able to take part in the following activities...art courses, beekeeping courses, mountain biking, birding, horse riding, hiking and guided nature rambles. Weddings and special events can also be hosted at Honeywood Farm.

The farm is a member of the Grootvadersbosch Conservancy, which contains large areas of mountain fynbos, Knysna type forest and some rare examples of unspoilt renosterveld or Themeda grassland. Beyond the Nature Reserve lies the Boosmansbos wilderness area; one is of the best protected  areas in the country. 

Travelling time from Cape Town is about three hours so it is an excellent destination in itself,or a suitable stop off on the way up the Garden route.  The sea at Witsand is only 40 minutes drive and over the mountain through the Tradouw's Pass is the succulent Karroo and the quaint town of Barrydale on the Route 62 towards Oudsthoorn.
